Bucky Beach is a retired pastor from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church / Lutheran Campus Ministry. Ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in 1989, Bucky has lived in the Upper Peninsula since 1996, having moved here to be Chaplain at Suomi College / Finlandia. He served Good Shepherd in Houghton from 2003-2022.
Carol Grafford is a long-time friend of KUUF. She has followed the teaching of Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Zen Buddhist master, for over 20 years, and is lay-ordained in his Order. She is happy to share what she’s learned from Buddhism and from her own life.
Keren Tischler is a biologist, mushroom farmer and wonderer. She practices in the Zen Buddhist traditions of Thich Nhat Hahn and Upaya Zen Center, and happily dances in the field of Joanna Macy’s Work that Reconnects.
