The Water Service, or Water Communion as some call it, is an annual ritual of coming back together after the summer months. Bring to the service a small amount of water from a place that is special to you, and during the service, everyone has an opportunity to add their water to a collective bowl. As the water is added, the person who brought it tells why this water is special to them. The combined water is symbolic of our shared community of faith coming from many different sources. We’ll pause to remember that water is life, sharing stories of the waters we’ve been to, what insights we’ve learned, and what moments of beauty we’ve felt.
Reminder: please bring a small amount of water to this service for the water communion.
Service will be both in person and via Zoom.
Potluck lunch to follow the service. All are welcome.
