Some languages have different words for different types of love. Many common words are derived from the word love, including amateur (doing something for the love of it), Friday (after the German goddess of love), and philanthropy (love of humanity) but there is nothing common about how love and lovelessness affects our lives. It is in multiple construction of the sacred, including in Unitarian Universalism. This service will explore different dimensions of love and share examples of sacred love at work in the world in some of the least expected places.
