Civic and political discourse has always had a place at the pulpit, especially in times of unrest. As the invasion of Ukraine continues, and the world’s superpowers choose strategies, it begs the question, is there a time when peace requires violence or force? Can violence be justified? This Sunday we’ll explore movements of civil resistance and violent aggression and what, ultimately, may they can tell us about peace.  This week’s message is inspired by conversations with Pete and Carol Ekstrom, who won the ‘auction sermon’ at the annual fundraiser.
