In the Hebrew scriptures, there is a tale of a whale (or was it a fish) and a zealous prophet (but zealous for what?) that has been the topic of many a Sunday School coloring sheet, and is a common literary reference to this day: Jonah. What can this angsty, disgruntled, and reluctant prophet teach us about how we show up in the world today, seeking justice and peace – even for those we may not consider friends, or even kind acquaintances? What are your methods, when grace is hard to share? We’ll explore this and other topics this Sunday with Pr. Sarah Semmler Smith.
Service will be both in person and via Zoom.
