If you’ve enjoyed gardening, or eating fresh produce this summer and don’t want to stop, join us to hear about Hoop gardening, aquaponics, microgreen, hydroponics on Sunday, Sept. 12, at the KUUF Forum at 10:30am. You might like to experiment with one of these methods to extend the growing season.

We’ll hear from Boersma Farm (Hoop gardening); Minnie’s Farm (aquaponics); Living Vitamins (Microgreens); and SDH, Sustainability Demonstration House (hydroponics).  They’ll explain methods for producing fresh veggies in your home all through the year, and answer your questions.  Join us for a picnic lunch (bring your own) at tables at East Houghton Waterfront Pavillion (near Super 8 motel) at noon, then we’ll head to the SDH at 1:30pm for a ‘Green Tour’ of their hydroponics set-up, 21680 Woodland Rd., Houghton.  Mask required.
