Rivka Gevurtz will talk about social identities and oppression. She will explore how our various social identities interact, helping us understand our own experiences of privilege or oppression and that of others.
Rivka is an interfaith minister, chaplain and spiritual guide. She founded and runs Shelter for the Spirit, which provides spiritual direction to all kinds of people in all walks of life.
She focuses on healing religious wounding. As the wife of a trans man and the mother of a non-binary child, she has personally suffered the pain of being wounded for who she is and how she loves.
Rivka was ordained through The Chaplaincy Institute and earned her Master of Divinity degree through Starr King School for the Ministry. She now serves as the dean of academics at The Chaplaincy Institute.
Forum will be by Zoom only.
