Keweenaw Land Trust (KLT) staff will give updates and perspectives about KLT during a time of change within the organization and our environment.
Pat Toczydlowski, a founding member of the land trust who has been on staff for nearly 20 years, will introduce herself as the incoming interim executive director of the organization. She’ll share perspectives on the land conservation program from its first conservation easement in 1999 to the acquisition of its 26th natural area this spring. Jill Fisher, staff botanist and program manager, will explain challenges to the stewardship program and ways the public can get involved as volunteers.
The Keweenaw Land Trust is a local non-profit organization that works through partnerships to protect land and water resources that impact the quality of life for wildlife and our community. KLT’s work includes stewardship or management of its acquired nature areas to benefit native habitats and provide public access for low-impact recreation. KLT also sponsors activities to help people better understand and enjoy the natural world.
Forum will be by Zoom only.
