The farmer and poet, Wendell Berry, says that if we don’t know where we are, we don’t know who we are. Sense of place is a term that implies being in a geographic area (space) for enough time to feel belonging. To belong to a place is to practice, again and again, being rooted in reciprocal relationship. At this service, we will explore how sense of place can provide a grounded spirituality to draw from for resilience and joy amidst a changing climate. We will celebrate being in a place with abundant fresh water. During fellowship conversation, we will discuss times in nature when we felt a sense of belonging, wonder, or awe.
Service will be both in person and via Zoom.
