The Revolutionary Love Project
Founded by civil rights leader Valarie Kaur, The Revolutionary Love
Project inspires and equips people to build beloved community where
they are. Meha Chiraya will reflect on her experiences working with
Valarie to get the Revolutionary Love Project off the ground in 2016.
She will share the components of the Revolutionary Love Compass, and
will lead us through some guided reflections on what this means in our
own lives and in our Keweenaw community today.
Meha Chiraya is the Global Director for Diversity, Inclusion and
Belonging at Amgen, a Fortune 500 biotechnology firm, where she is the
chief of staff to Amgen’s Chief Diversity Officer. Prior to Amgen,
Meha was a global health and social impact consultant at Accenture,
where she consulted for not-for-profit organizations and foundations,
publishing a paper on addressing gestational diabetes in Colombia.
Outside her corporate career, Meha is a podcaster and public speaker,
and has spoken on the topic of DEI and health equity to audiences at
The New School, UC Berkeley, the Congressional Asian Pacific American
Caucus, and the MBA Consortium. From 2016-2017, Meha served as Chief
of Staff for social justice activist Valarie Kaur to launch the
Revolutionary Love Project. She played a critical role in launching
this grassroots social justice movement dedicated to combating hate
with the ethic of love via storytelling.
Meha has an MBA from UCLA Anderson, where she served as Commencement
Speaker for her graduating class. She received her undergraduate
degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and
was on the student board of the Indian American Students Association
and served as President of the Society of Women Engineers.
