The Friday DVD study group is starting a new Great Courses series Friday, April 25. The course, “How Jesus Became God,” explores early Western ideas of gods and God; it then looks at the historical knowledge of Jesus and the theological evolution of the concept of a divine Jesus (in effect, how we as Unitarians lost the battle). We watch a half hour lecture, enjoy discussion and a brown bag lunch, and then watch another half hour lecture with discussion following. The group meets at 11:15 on Fridays at our building.
